The total net profit returned over the lifetime of an investment plus the capital invested, is expressed as a multiple.
It’s calculated by dividing the capital distributions by the capital contributions.
For example:
If you invested: $100,000
And the returns are: $50,000
The Equity Multiple is: 1.5X
